Wow, that was similar to my situation. I worked and went to college but was living paycheck to paycheck because SF was so expensive and I had no support. Reached out for food stamps and they offered me $70/mo. It was better than nothing I guess Yeah food stamps amounts have seemed to actually gone down since I was younger? Not sure how an adult is supposed to feed themselves in a month on $150 these days with grocery costs as they are without being extremely frugal. Yes I am entitled. I live in the Funny halloween Jack playing card costume cool easy halloween gift classic shirt moreover I love this United fucking States. I was raised believing we were better than this. I got $30 a month while pregnant, with zero income because SSI was taking literally YEARS to process applications. Literally zero income, running uo credit cards and loans, and they decided that, being pregnant, I could totally eat just fine on a dollar a day. Maybe you need more kids. I assume that’s why they give us way more than needed. It all has to be used on food so I eat better now on food stamps than when I made a lot more money. When I made a lot of money I’d buy 50 pound bags of oats and make oatmeal to live off $1/day. Now that I get hundreds per month that can’t be used on anything else, I don’t even bother to look at prices anymore in the store.

Now I tell my kids “anything you want to eat, it doesn’t matter just say it and it’s yours” and they hesitate still because they aren’t used to eating nice things often. I would rather get less though and be able to spend it on other necessities like bills. It’s so weird heaping the Funny halloween Jack playing card costume cool easy halloween gift classic shirt moreover I love this grocery cart high with name brand food then not being able to pay a bill. Bout sick of hearing about food stamps. I know a guy works part time 2 jobs. Brings home about 225 a week gets section 8 to pay about a third of his rent, has ACA coverage cause he’s got some mobility problems. HAs about 30 bucks left at the end of the week. He got 100 bucks a month off EBT during covid. Said it was the first time he was able to actually have a couple meals a day.
