But the Funny 2024 NHL All Star Game Event logo shirt But I will love this kids aren’t learning them at all, that’s the problem. You have kids coming into kinder who don’t know how to hold a pencil. Kids in middle school who don’t know how to hold a fork. And high schoolers who can’t cut their own steak, let alone dissect a rat or a frog. Ask any teacher. Honestly I don’t hear many people, even older folks, talk like that anymore. Nowadays, people tend to say the exact time they want folks to show up so there’s no room for misinterpretation. People get time and money mixed up a lot. A quarter is 25 cents so the brain goes “well this means that a quarter after ten is 10:25, because 25 is a quarter” it’s not that people are immeasurably stupid, it’s just that the human brain loves word association I’m 37 and I’ve always hated when people describe the time this way. When I was young it would throw me off hard.

I still don’t like it, but I’ve grown accustomed to my parents way of speaking about time. They also liked to round the Funny 2024 NHL All Star Game Event logo shirt But I will love this time to the nearest 15 which is so stupid when you’ve just looked at the clock to see the exact time. This is in line with another post I saw that said schools were to remove analog clocks from their exam halls because kids didn’t know how to read that. That’s the future. Good luck to the world. Logically I know a quarter means 1/4 and is not always 25, but I don’t know what a quarter of 60 is off the top of my head In my experience, that isn’t a very common way to say the time nowadays, so I can understand if they’re not familiar with the term, but I’m surprised they weren’t able to figure it out, unless they just put zero thought into it. Wow lol
