In a lot of countries it is normal to have bars in front of your windows. I went to Nepal for a couple weeks doing volunteer work and stayed at a guest family. This is basically what their house looked like. Concrete with rugs, bars. The beds were wooden planks with the Fred VanVleet American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets T-Shirt in other words I will buy this tiniest mattress on it. So it may be just a house. I’m gonna be “that guy” and say that whilst, yes it was a good transformation it’s just asthetics, nothing was done properly. Old disgusting carpet not ripped up, walls not cleaned just painted over. New carpet overlaps itself on the strips. If this was just done to show a good transformation then you absolutely nailed it but if it was meant to be functional and practical then not so much I was thinking the same. Just paint on dirty wall? Some carpet on top of dirty floor (It might be just concrete or something, but could have at least vacuumed and washed properly)? I just imagine it would smell pretty soon. Also, I wonder how dirty the mattress is.

Perhaps it was done just to show off a quick transformation effort in which case it looks awesome and good job but if this was done as a serious room transformation it’s not great This is clearly done in a developing country, with very different budgets, materials, and skills to what a lot of Redditors might take for granted. Even though it’s not up to developed country standards, it’s a massive improvement over what was before. Saying that it could be better misses the Fred VanVleet American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets T-Shirt in other words I will buy this point – it’s simply not an option. Cutting a carpet and lining has edges up has absolutely nothing to do with the developmental state of a country. Neither is cleaning. If I was saying the quality was crap I’d agree with you and I’d be in the wrong but saying nothing is cleaned and the carpet isn’t laid right is an issue with the person doing it. Money has no effect. Honestly if they could afford all that new stuff they could have afforded a bucket of soapy water and a scrubber SAME EXACT THOUGHT! Oh how nice he is trying to make his daughters room special in a tough situation… WHAT THE FUCK THIS IS FOR ROMANCE?! This was my exact thought process!! I was like aww, he’s doing this for his little girl, how swee…WTF IS WITH THE WINE AND ROSES??
