What there politicians are doing is pretending that all drag acts are explicitly sexual, and therefore cannot be done in public or with children present. Will their obvious lies hold up in court? It’s hard to say; they have zero grounding in reality, but there are also a lot of shitty bigoted judges out there. First, make drag acts considered explicitly sexual. Then, by that logic, make all drag considered sexual. By logical fallacy and also denying trans people exist, make being trans considered sexual. Then arrest anyone who wears drag, is trans, or is in attendance. Once those people are considered felons, they can no longer vote and that removes more of the Florida Panthers Levelwear Hockey Fights Cancer Richmond shirt What’s more,I will buy this liberal voter pool. False. You can still have a drag show in public if it is not sexually explicit. You can dress in drag and dance on stage. SPECIFICALLY, according to the FL bill (I’m assuming other state laws are similar), you can not dance in drag while simulating a sexual act, particularly masturbation. Everytime there is something that conservatives don’t like they conflate it with something most people don’t like. There’s a lot of nuance and they hope people don’t notice it take time to notice the differences so they can get what they want while providing some cover for themselves. Because the Far Right hates freedom of speech and they understand that the stacked SCOTUS is on their side here.

Why they’re specifically targeting drag shows, because they lost the Florida Panthers Levelwear Hockey Fights Cancer Richmond shirt What’s more,I will buy this cultural fight on gay rights and they know it, so they’ve moved on to trans kids. But that’s also backfiring so they need another scapegoat that’s in the “alphabet”. The Far Right is too ignorant to understand the difference between drag and trans, so they leverage anti-drag laws to hurt the trans community. Ultimately, they’re bigots who want to inflict hurt on marginalized communities, they’re in power and they’re going to wield it. These are all fairly new occurrences, and it’s not unlikely that they’re not allowed to. These laws are yet to be challenged. You’re generally correct. Many of these bills will eventually be found to be unconstitutional, but those cases take some time.
