My tactic, if I needed to waste a few minutes, was to do some filing. The last job I had that was cLock driven (FFS autocorrect!) was way back in the mid 90s, which had a shift change. If I’ve got nothing else to do that can’t be put off until tomorrow I just leave. Might pop in to a pub for a cheeky beer. I work in a microbrewery situated in a warehouse, my office is the taproom so I’ve often had a beer before I even turn my computer off

I’m usually tidying up my office, maybe dusting or hoovering, any dishes, filing paperwork, clearing emails, tending to the plants etc. My office is restricted access and I don’t need a cleaner but I always have a high standard of keeping it clean and tidy.
