He’s had me around cops a lot of my life. There’s something that has been bothering me recently in my memories of these times. My favorite one of the cops he knew was also one of “the best cops in the state.” Like they give out an award to the best cop. Not sure what the stipulations are but he won it like over and over. So there’s that. Then there’s this. His wife was raped and he was the one, while on duty and somewhat by accident, who caught the guy who did it. When he’s taking the guy in, in handcuffs since that’s a big deal in this case, the guy spits in my man’s face. Says he’d do it again. So the cop punches the rapist piece of shit in the face. This caused my dads friend to get fired. He lost his when the guy who raped his wife spit in his face and he punched him. It was on the steps of the prescient and like 7 people (a couple journalist) saw him do it. This was in 98-99. Somewhere in there. I just don’t see how he can lose his job but these people get nothing. They get to keep working.
