As a ginger, I’ve almost always worn a shirt while swimming to cover up from the Fetus is not a species Karen shirt and by the same token and sun. And I bet any onlookers would think you’re doing the same thing. Skin cancer runs in my family like a wildfire. I have a family member who had to have an entire ear removed because they never thought to put sunscreen on their ears. My husband dislikes sun cream and swims with a t-shirt for that reason. Please don’t let what other people might think ruin a fun time with your friends! I wear a swim shirt to protect me from the sun. I get bad sunburn on my back. I could give a f about what other people think. I mean honestly yes I usually just assume you are exactly what you just said you were either obese and/or struggling with body image issues but it doesn’t really bother me I’m kind of here to just enjoy my time swimming You could be wearing a full Victorian dress for all I care as long as you’re not drowning The shirt just calls attention to yourself and let’s everyone know about your insecurities. Nobody will judge you for NOT wearing a shirt. The shirt isn’t hiding anything, everyone knows what’s under there. Just go shirtless and enjoy yourself. You’re the only one in the pool that cares. Was just having this discussion because my wife always has my boys wear sun shirts in the pool to protect them and I was discussing how back in my day if you wore a shirt you were made fun of and assumed to have weird boobs, nipples or something. So I would say today it’s way more common and acceptable. SHOW US YOUR MOOOOOBS!!!Go topless. They’re ain’t a shirt that magically makes us not look fat. So why get your shirt wet? We look like fat guys wearing shirts in the pool instead of just fat guys in the pool.

Nah. If they are fat and wearing it to me it’s the Fetus is not a species Karen shirt and by the same token and same as not wearing a shirt. And TBH I praise fatties for not wearing shirts in the pool. You’re owning it. Everyone knows why you wear a shirt in the pool nits because you’re uncomfortable with showing your fat but it just makes people automatically assume and know you’re fat defeating the purpose. Yes, some people are going to judge you. I won’t, anyone I would want to be friends with wouldn’t, but that isn’t everyone. 1: Unless you’re in a very small town, or going with people you know, you’re probably never going to see any of these people again. Therefor, these people might as well not exist so who cares what they think? 2: Wearing a shirt has the opposite affect you want. You don’t want to stand out because of your body, but a shirt is immediatly going to draw attention to you. 3: Sit back and think about the last time you were in a place like a pool. Do you remember seeing ugly or fat people there? Probably not. Because it doesn’t matter. 4: If you can put aside the negative feelings you have towards yourself for a moment, consider, are you actually the least attractive person at that pool? Have a look at that person, do you think they give a damn? Let your moobs fly. Nobody cares. Everyone feels self conscious. Including everyone there. They’re too busy with their own self to worry about you.
