I forget about this season just as much as I forget about season 11, but it is a GEM! We have excellent runways from Gigi, Jaida, Nicky..We have fantastic personalities from Heidi to Crystal. I am currently rewatching it and can say I took it for granted. This seems like a group of queens that wasn’t about the Fck Off I’m Painting Watercolor Artist Painter T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this drama and got through it soon after untucked. I don’t remember any big drama when it was being aired, but I definitely overlooked Jaida as the winner at the time due to being completely enamored with Crystal. The top 3 was well-earned and without the production fluff we see more now. I love this show, I want to hear y’all’s takes, too! So many great queens from this season. I was just watching Jaida’s crowning and the way Crystal and Gigi showered her with love and support, beautiful.

I haven’t been watching all the Fck Off I’m Painting Watercolor Artist Painter T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this untucks with them, but while filming, everyone was always hugging and being great listeners to one another. The support was more prominent than the shade, for sure. It’s just such a shame that you can see the seams in the edit… but the behind the scenes awfulness and running headlong into COVID restrictions probably did deliver us a perhaps slightly unintended winner who turned out to be beloved, beautiful and so delightful. There are some really great stories though – the weirdo who figured out how to harness her weirdness to become a finalist, the fashion girl who turned out to be pretty adept at most challenges, the peppy face-crack of the century, the Susan Lucci of drag/Persian princess, the seasoned queen who got in her own head, the soft and supple country queen we all fell for… and I’m not even skimming the surface. It’s probably got the most charming and compelling cast overall for the past several years. My only minor complaint is that I think a couple of those challenge wins could have easily gone to Jackie Cox (Snatch Game and the commercial immediately come to mind), but the winners of those challenges weren’t undeserving, nor did it feel like there was blatant riggory taking place. A stellar season overall, for sure.
