Carl Sagan challenges you in his outstanding book, Contact, to consider how very special we are…that religion and science share many things in common, even if science does not like to admit to it: faith. Both science and religion have a type of faith….this intuition, or some expectation to rely on an idea…in science this creative process is what initiates theories..WHAT IF starts it all..but what exactly IS “what if”..the Family Camping trip 2023 Shirt it is in the first place but creative process..where does that come from? in religion it is very much the same, but of a different kind of faith: that life is not just some coincidence…that we live in a world created…that we are created. That a God does exist and is real. But ask a scientist to explain where they get intuition and why their creative focus leans toward a particular idea …you will lots of different answers. But it is really is a form of faith. you ask a religious person, you will also get different answers… believing in something that has meaning. A personal experience…just as if you KNOW that you lived your dead father (or mother), but there is nothing you can do to prove that you did!

Family Camping trip 2023 Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

As an atheist with a surface-read level of understanding of theology, I say do your thing, but don’t bring it to my house and try to make it my business. I know where you’re at, if I want in I’ll come and join you on my terms. Calm down. as an atheist I read into the Family Camping trip 2023 Shirt it is in the first place but history and beliefs of various religions just so I can learn more about them. I don’t actually think that makes me more worthy of being able to critique religion than someone who has very little knowledge of it, as the basis for the dismissal of it doesn’t in reality lie with the specifics but instead with the idea of faith as a basis for belief, even though rhetorically the specifics are criticized. well, i’m agnostic, but i’ll give my reasoning for not being religious. i was raised a devout catholic, pro-life, anti-protestant, the whole nine yards. as i got older, i had an edgy atheist phase, where i believed religion was the root of human evil, or whatever. end of the day, religion is nothing more than a personal decision on what you believe and the doctrine you want to define your life by. that, of course, does not mean you get to define the lives of others, but there are plenty of religious people who do not push their religion onto others. religion is not evil on it’s own. and if there’s someone up there, i’d love to talk to them when i die. an eternal beings perspective on how i lived my life, whether negative or positive, has to be interesting. i’m not going to worry about what is after death during my one and only life, whether it’s an eternity of happiness, suffering, or nothingness. i’m also not particularly interested in living the only life i’m given based on rules written far before i was born, but that might be more of a young person being rebellious thing.
