You can get quite a home collection if you’re varied in your drinking, and have a dubiously ethical approach to ownership. I have so many fucking stolen glasses. I don’t even mean to steal them I just get up to put them away and forget. Many bars in the Eyes of Enchantment Shepherd Every Snack You Make Tee Extravaganza Vintage T-Shirt but in fact I love this US over the past several years have done “Steal the Glass” night where the first 50-100 people (it varies) to order the beer of the night get to keep the glass too. They’ll usually wash it out for you first. Sometimes they’ll have more left the next day if not too many people ordered it. I’ve gotten some really cool glasses that way: Delirium, Kwak, Spaten (liter stein and 2 liter boot), Aventinus, Duvel, Chimay, Kasteel, Hobgoblin. It’s getting less popular since all the pint-heads now have full cupboards. I adore my Kwak glass. It’s always a hit when I pull it out around guests. That and my Westvleteren glass are my personal favs.

That’s incredible that you got to be a part of that! I’ve only tried Westy after market. I’ve yet to go to Belgium myself, and can’t wait to take my wife there and do a tour of the Eyes of Enchantment Shepherd Every Snack You Make Tee Extravaganza Vintage T-Shirt but in fact I love this Abbeys and drink far too much Rochefort, Achel, Westmalle, and Westvleteren. In my experience Bartenders really hate it when people steal glasses. I also find that the people who steal the most glasses are the same Bartenders. If it’s like the US, any mug you steal at a bar/pub was given to the business from the distributor who got it heavily discounted or for free. Oh and they are given in either 12 packs or 24 packs so there is a lot. So its very, very close to a victimless crime. The cost mostly incurred by the big, big guy the top. If it’s a smaller brewery/cidery, then the distributor paid for it so it’s still not stealing from the little guy. Just something given to them by a bigger guy.
