They made everything from scratch bread , noodles, crackers , cheese everything? Absolutely nothing was pre made? Oysters, real fire roasted neapolitans, real TJ street tacos, in n out, pho, sushi, Indian food and REAL naan, real fresh pressed juices… I don’t care how good of a cook you are there’s somethings that can’t be replaced in a typical middle American home. The lockdowns taught us that…. Fridays are designated takeout pizza day, I cook a full meal from scratch on Sundays and we eat leftovers from that throughout the week.

My wife and I often eat just a bunch of various snacks for dinner And it also depends how you define “from scratch.” Like, I eat peanut butter on toast a lot. I didn’t make the bread or press the nuts, but it’s also not eating out or eating a frozen dinner etc. I’m currently on a work trip, and breakfast in my hotel room consists of crumpets with cream cheese and smoked salmon with cherry tomatoes. I picked up a boiled egg from the breakfast buffet one morning as well. I’ll sip on seaweed soup and have kipers on crackers in the evening before tea. I bought pre-cut pineapple and a dark chocolate bar to snack on. My husband and I both hate to cook. (No kids) We eat out a lot. A sit down restaurant at least once a week. Our favorite place has a really good happy hour menu so we just get there before 6. Honestly, we eat at Chipotle at least once a week, if not more lol. Neither of us are breakfast eaters. We do try to make sandwiches at home for lunch, but that comes and goes in waves. I’m gone two full days a week (24 hour shifts) and I eat pre-made meals from the grocery store. My husband travels for work 3 days a week, 3 weeks a month, he eats out. (Work pays for it) The grocery store meals are super good, healthy and perfect for me for work on a busy 24 hr shift.
