I am not surprised. I spent a lot of time there and witnessed firsthand the Evgeny Kuznetsov Bird Man Russian professional ice hockey forward T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this hate they have for the French people and the language. Last year I met a really OLD SCHOOL French person, who said that Maghreb countries (Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria) should be thankful for what France did for them. That must come from an old colonialist. I hear similar shit from old people in other countries. That type is thinking is dying with the colonial generation (hopefully). Eh, it’s complicated. My BIL is Algerian and studied in France for a masters degree basically, where he met my sister. French was their common language at first. The family speaks many languages but most of his siblings do know French. A lot of immigrants can go to France or Canada because of the language connections. Meanwhile people focus on the western evils of French colonialism, which was horrid of course, but there has also been an aggressive assertion of Arab culture trying to suppress the Kabyle/Berber culture, too. It’s not like just because it’s Arabic that means it’s the indigenous culture.

The Lebanese government is so bad that after the Evgeny Kuznetsov Bird Man Russian professional ice hockey forward T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this Beirut warehouse explosion there were some people in Lebanon that wanted the French to come in and oversee the investigation. This attitude is exactly why they are hated. That and the atrocities that they committed during the algerian occupation. My dad did a gig working as a supervisor in the oilfields in Algeria for a while and he said it was crazy because the workers (locals) would often switch between English, Arabic and French all in the same sentence. He went in hoping he would pick up a bit of French/Arabic but was unable to because of the jumbled mish-mash they spoke. This was 25 years ago, no idea what it’s like now. Yes. I spent a lot of time in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. I speak all three Languages so it wasn’t difficult for me to understand. Although the Arabic sometimes is even mixed with Berber (Amazigh).. That was difficult to decipher.
