I’ve just started shopping with them again. Everything I’ve gotten so far is high quality and gets me compliments. (Lido wool cargo pant, Ceres merino-cashmere sweater, Brynn Fair Isle scarf) their quality has really struggled to hold itself ! pieces from 2000s are still like they were on day 1. The sweater I picked this fall is piling like its 20 years old. I’m a knitter and I love a lot of the Everyone Wants Be A Swinger Until Time Some Swinger Pineapple T-Shirt and I love this pieces that Manos del Uruguay puts out. They’re an ethical company with high quality pieces that will last forever if taken care of. And they empower women! Maybe not what you’re looking for specifically but I just love what they do and make. I love Allsaints. Some of their stuff has their name on it, but not most of it. Super good quality, not outrageously priced, but expensive because it’s good quality.

I use to like them but so bloody cookie cutter designs, and also big question mark on sustainability aspects of their products. Yeah it’s all very basic, but I lean into that these days because I often wear the Everyone Wants Be A Swinger Until Time Some Swinger Pineapple T-Shirt and I love this same sweater multiple days in a row. Easier when it’s plain and basic ? shoes and accessories are usually where I like to mix things up. Also side eye their sustainability claims but most things in fashion are not sustainable, but definitely not at those prices. I find that the material holds up though and that’s important for me. Something that holds up will inherently be more sustainable. I was so happy about Quince but am just bewildered by some of their cuts. The top button on the linen dress is below my bust, rendering it unwearable unless I want to flash everyone. I need to find another button and permanently sew it on, because I’m not fiddling with buttonholes. I got no wear out of it last year because it went straight into my mending pile.
