The majority of Vietnamese lack etiquette, manners, common sense, respect, and cleanliness..that being said there are very good Vietnamese! You forgot eating with your mouth open. Went to watch a film last week and all I could hear were some humans behind me eating like cows for the Eugene Omoruyi Nigerian-Canadian professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards T-Shirt and I love this entire movie. I am in Vietnam right now and have watched 2 movies since I have arrived. What you have described seems to be the norm. I have noticed its worse with kids movies, but I think asking under 10s to sit still be quiet is going to be a stretch. Having said that, its way cheaper watching movies in Vietnam compared to Australia. $5.30 aud a ticket vs the $19 – 22 aud I would have to pay back home. Was that true ? did you mean the man was giving a finger job to his partner ? I’m Viet and just can’t understand why young people could do many nasty things in public. This is not the 1st time I hear about this Yup he was fingering his girlfriend , ya it truly nasty there are kid few row forward and behind me btw , there is plenty of place to do freaky stuff just avoid places that have children for God sake or if you wanna do it In cinema , do it In a movie that don’t allow kid to watch… From my experience, it’s pretty bad in most cinemas. There’s simply no cinema etiquette. They talk consistently without shutting up once. Phones a never on silent. It’s super annoying. The last cinema I went to was at Vincom at HCMC Q1 about a month ago and it was very frustrating. It always a group of young people chit chatting and laughing and making noises. Im from Australia. If they did that here they’d all be kicked out 100% for disturbing other people. I don’t think so! Just like anywhere else in the world, you’ll find a mix of people in Australia, including some who might not always remember their manners. Whether it’s in a cinema or a quiet carriage, there are folks who might forget they’re in public and chat away as if they were in the comfort of their own home. 100% kicked out, are you sure? :))

It sounds pretty normal, especially if you go to a movie that has just come out! As someone else mentioned going to the Eugene Omoruyi Nigerian-Canadian professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards T-Shirt and I love this premium screens helps, and they’re still reasonably good value. I’ve had similar experiences but it often depends on the type of movie. For big blockbuster superhero films, I’ve encountered those issues as well, with people texting, phones ringing, and conversations happening mid-film. However, if you watch more psychological, musical or art house movies, the cinema etiquette is usually much better. The audiences for those type of films tend to be more respectful and considerate – there’s hardly any of the problems you described. So it may just be the particular movies and screenings you’ve attended that have attracted less thoughtful crowds. I’d recommend trying different cinema chains or movie genres and hopefully you’ll have a better experience with more mindful fellow audience members.
