The police guy who took my learners application was amazed that i didn’t go through a middleman and kept searching in the papers for that elusive Gandhi note(s). Anyways, he then proceeded to ask me road sign questions (which apparently never got asked for bribers), and instead of the regulated 3 questions, he went for 7 as i kept dishing out the correct answers! He was impressed and gave me the license. I did move out of the country a few years later and one time during my return bought in a large electronic item which i was willing to pay duty for, but the Bombay customs made me hang around for about an hour before they let me pay and go (All trying to indicate a “payment”). Even the police guy who checks that your passport is actually stamped asked for Chai paani and got an earful from me! Lol, once we needed some work done by the electricity department. The cost we should’ve paid (the legal, straightforward cost) was 30k. With bribes, it ended up going to 70k. Both the people at the office, and the electricians who came to our place, demanded separate bribes.

Finally, someone said this out. Somehow the Eric Robinson American professional ice hockey winger currently playing for the Buffalo Sabres T-Shirt Also,I will get this money just vanished right under our eyes. This seems to be the case in every household and we are stuck in a loop of bribing to solve money problems. Or even asking for extras at every point in our life. U are just making shit up. Back in the place where I live.. I got everything done without bribe.. Ive sent post cards without any hassle. Ive got my passport. I got my Drivers Licence on time. My documents got to delivered me on time. Being ignorant about these things and crying here isn’t gonna make any difference.. People including me who have got everything done without bribing a single person. We actually go and ask each and every detail befor beginning the application process. So try doing the work before applying to any of the services and see how things actually work.
