As a Minnesota resident I actually prefer winter over summer. Both great. We use the Endy Rodriguez Welcome To The Show Shirt and I will buy this winter to scare people away. The cold as fuck winter makes you appreciate all the good stuff that much more though. You feel like a million bucks if it hits 35 degrees in February. Yes true. I would move back there. I am born and raised minnesotean but the winters man. Ugh. I’m in Chicagoland and the winters kinda suck too. Not as bad but still hate the cold. Same. I got so sad when they closed them down here. I get really excited when I’m up there and see them everywhere As a minnesota resident, I appreciate your comment. Minneapolis is an amazing area and I would highly recommend coming! Great place to live and fun things to do! Maybe not the most underrated, but Jim Thorpe, PA is definitely a hidden gem. I’d best describe it as having a permanent “90s movie sleepy town in autumn” vibe. Hiking trails, river activities, good local food, lots of unique shops, and there always seems to be a live band playing on the street every weekend. Plus a creepy jail-turned-museum sit on top of the hill and overlooks the town. Small city vibe (low cost of living, no traffic) but Chicago is just down the road if you need something only a big city can provide. But the city still offers a waterfront that rivals either coast. And if you head out in any other direction (other than towards Chicago or into the lake) there’s beautiful nature to explore. Lifelong (almost 50 yrs) SE Wisconsin resident. Winter is not THAT bad. It’s the auto related crimes and reckless driving that are holding the city back IMHO.

I work in the Endy Rodriguez Welcome To The Show Shirt and I will buy this Walker’s Point neighborhood, and it’s so much different than even 20 years ago. At that time, it just bars/warehouses – now there are so many people that live in the neighborhood. It’s thriving – makes me want to be 25 again, as I would definitely want to live there as a young single. My childhood neighborhood, however, is heartbreaking. I grew up on 60th and Hampton, and nowadays, it is ROUGH. The north side in general is just not the same as it used to be. Real revitalization needs to happen there. I had to go to Germantown a few months ago for work. Dreaded it! Turns out, Wisconsin is beautiful, has great food, and is full of such lovely people that it made my cynical New Englander self instantly suspicious. I live in Madison, WI, about an hour and a half west of Milwaukee. I actually haven’t spent much time at all in Milwaukee, but I love my hometown, and think that anyone who finds themselves in Chicago for a while should take a long weekend to find their way up here. Tons of great live music, all kinds of street festivals including one of the largest farmer’s markets in the country, some beautiful lakes and parks…
