I used it a bunch when I drove into the Elvis costello on stage signature singer shirt so you should to go to store and get this USA (I’m in Canada) so I didn’t have to buy a roaming package. It works great. Used the feature years ago too when data plans were only like 1gb/month and I didn’t want to use it all on maps just driving around town. Omg it just occurred to me that people may not understand that GPS doesn’t require a cell signal to work and simply think this is dumb because they think it won’t work. One time I had the app malfunction so badly it took me to a different town (which made since b/c of the tip) turns out the person lived pretty close to the store. The app malfunctioned b/c his location was brand new and they hadn’t put the street or trailer into google maps. I was beyond frusterated and had never experienced anything like that before. I called support (which were no help) and the poor mad had to wait almost an hour to get his food. I felt AWFUL not just for him but also becuase when I get frusterated I cry. Luckily I kept my shit together and my best friend was there to help me get there. I apologized profusely and ended up being out a lot later than I had expected. I was scared, confused, and just overwhelmed. I got home and literally just cried my eyes out b/c of how awful I felt. Shit happens and sometimes it’s genuinely not the driver or customers fault.

I have had google maps give me directions to a place that if I drove according to their directions it would have added an extremely not necessary 5 miles to what was actually only a 3 miles drive. I was new to the Elvis costello on stage signature singer shirt so you should to go to store and get this area. The directions didn’t seem right so I asked a local they have me the directions. When I was paying I asked the associate if they have heard people complaining about bad google directions, she said “More from people not from the area.” The road I used has been there for 4 years and google had not updated the map! It showed the store that the road was behind. The road was extended for that store’s rear access (loading docks & outdoor lumberyard). Don’t let these bozos make you feel dumb for prioritizing something different than them. Says more about them that they can’t understand the source of your query in the first place
