This redditor will tell you everything you did wrong from the Elvira grey zombie the munsters classic shirt in contrast I will get this comfort of the futon in their moms basement, and how they would NEVER make the same mistake. EVER. Dude is clearly looking at his footing not really expecting a moose to be lurking across the street on his neighbors lawn. Alaska or no, the dude isn’t going to be in survival mode every second he spends outside. Plus our brains have an excellent auto pilot, coupled with shaky footing, his dog going off leash in tow, this guy is just lucky and got a wicked good scare, the end.User avatar In addition to all the other comments- moose are extremely common here, like nearly every day occurrences in the winter. You get pretty used to them, and still have to go about your day. Usually they do their thing and don’t care much about you as long as you’re not approaching them. This one looks relatively small, and I could see myself or any one of my friends or family not paying it much attention.Disclaimer: they ARE dangerous and can be massive dicks. I’m not saying they’re my friends. Just that it’s probably like someone in the lower 48 seeing a snake or whatever other common dangerous animals you have down there. Would you approach it? No. But just leave it alone and things are usually okay.

I’m with ya. I understand being distracted by the Elvira grey zombie the munsters classic shirt in contrast I will get this cold but not so distracted you don’t see a whole god damn moose standing across the road from youAgree. There was a solid second or two where there was NO REASON the dude didn’t see that thing. No idea on why all the adverse comments! No I’m with you. If you don’t respect Alaska Alaska will break you like Bain broke the Batman. Keeping an eye out for Moose is a key survival skill.hat was my first thought. You didn’t notice a massive four legged mammal across the street? Does this person not recognize when something across the street from their own home looks very unfamiliar? Even just a large mass such as how a Moose would look in your peripheral vision should be enough for you to at least glimpse at it.
