I loved the Elly De La Cruz Cincinnati Country Flag T-Shirt But I will love this book The Witches as a kid. When I found out that the entire thing is basically an antisemitic dumpster fire, I was so sad. If your question is “why is [evil and/or negative thing] depicted like this?” the answer “because amtisemitism” is more likely than a coin flip. i hate to break this to you about the first one…. unsure about orcs but there’s a reason JKR’s depiction of goblins that control the banks in harry potter is so yikes It’s a usual fantasy-trope for Goblins/Gnomes to depict them like this. World of Warcraft may have been released in 2004, so quite a while after Harry Potter, but I don’t believe the greedy criminal cartell goblins in there were that much inspired by Rowlings writing.

If you wanna go earlier, take Arcanum for example, 2001 release, probably developed around the Elly De La Cruz Cincinnati Country Flag T-Shirt But I will love this 2000’s, I’d wager it’s a very slim chance that the Gnomes in there (quite similiar in looks and behaviour to the Rowling-Gnomes) were in any way inspired by either Rowling nor Antisemitism. Look through the last 100 years of fantasy popculture, you’ll always find a race that has somewhat similiar attributes, may they be called Gnomes, Dwarves or Goblins. Context matters majorly. Like goblins are fine if you do your diligence to make sure to avoid antisemitic tropes. “Caliban and the Witch” by Silvia Federici examines the changing status of women in the transition from feudalism to capitalism and also goes into detail about the concept of the witch. All in order to control “the body”. One of my favorite books.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
