Side note, I’ve been trying to take back the Dynasty no this is the Kansas city era shirt But I will love this word gay. Usually guys mean it to say “that sucks, that’s dumb.” When something is good or cool, we should say, “That’s gay!” in a positive tone. Gay bloke here. My straight friends are often pretty physically affectionate with me because they know I won’t judge them or think them weak for occasionally wanting physical touch or comfort. Nah man, just get rid of this sexualisation: man or woman appreciate to be told that you like hanging out with them. I was playing with a group of players who speak a different language, and we had one translator. After several months I told the translator to tell the other players that I love them, and he did, and the response was “They know bro”. And that shit melted my heart, it really did.

I met a guy in 2019 who was near 30’s, masculine, dangerous, leader-like, worldly, admirable, and he still said I love you to his friends. It came so natural for some reason, and they were some of the Dynasty no this is the Kansas city era shirt But I will love this straightest friendships I’ve seen. They were comrades. Lol when these things happen to you, your view changes I started a new job last week and made sure to tell the guy training me “I really appreciate you sharing your time and knowledge with me.” Maybe I’m just a cynic, but whenever anyone tells me something like “I appreciate you”, I think “well that sounds like something they read in a book about hustling”. Fight through that awkward phase. Don’t let toxic masculinity bring you down. For every few friends that are immature enough to call you gay (and to still think that “gay” is an insult), hopefully you have one friend who secretly needed to hear that you appreciate them and it helps them.
