I had a similar abscess once (though on my arm) and it left a small but distinct hole looking scar from where it was drained. If you’re worried you can probably get some Mederma (scar remover cream) if that’s something you’re interested in? I had a mole removed from my face (pre-cancerous), about a 1 inch incision and stitches to get it all, and used Mederma on it obsessively and now you can’t even tell.
