Sure, the US has its own history so it could’ve been more so a geopolitical tactic, but the UK was pressured by the US, that is a fact. Meanwhile, Soviets encroached on countries they captured post WW2. So neither side has a rosy history. I didn’t say India should’ve allied with the US completely. I’m saying if that had happened, India could’ve benefitted from it in ways maybe more tangible than benefits from Soviets. Besides, present day Russia can be of no help so should be stepped aside progressively.
