And people are saying to bring back those manufacturing to US. Good luck with that and paying extra for the Drake vs. Kendrick hit battle shirt also I will do this flip flops I left retail after 18 years to work in a factory producing thermoplastics. way more labor but its so fucking nice not having to answer the phone because some self entitled 20 year old just isn’t feeling today and doesn’t give a fuck I made reservations for date night my one Friday off a month. Now I work 15 days a month and make damn near the same pay. only got one small burn but it can be dangerous as fuck if you bypass safety. I work in manufacturing in the US. I’ve worked in some factories that are more dangerous than others. Idk if factories like this exist in the US but if they do they’re flying under the radar. Where as pretty much EVERY factory video I see from India, China, Pakistan, etc are noticably more lax when it comes to safety to what I experience in the US.

I’m sure there’s safe factories in China, India, pakistan just like there’s dangerous factories in the Drake vs. Kendrick hit battle shirt also I will do this US. But I suspect the averages are not equal. Yeah, so I have been to similar factories (I am from India) and while the safety standards and regulations are there, no one gives a shit. You will see these huge posters pasted on the walls highlighting safety regulations, use of PPE etc. but then the protective equipment will be lying rotting in a corner since no one uses it. It is there for the auditors but that’s it. People would rather die than use protective equipment. Even I worked with a tech company and we were producing e-bikes. We gave people gloves, PPE, hearing protection etc. but people only use what they deem necessary. The most the people did was wear protective gloves when handling sharp sheet metal components because they actually hurt physically. No one used the noise reduction headphone kinda thingy because they “interfered with their ability to work”
