The only way that ever happens is if human wants become finite. Which they aren’t. With a giant printer, think about how much more efficient it would be to make stuff. Less waste no breaks. I can certainly see this sometime in the Doomsday In Big D Baseball shirt and by the same token and future What are the logistics of a printer for a building? Who is going to build the printer? How is 3D printing up to building codes? How will it create the mixed materials needed like concrete, steel beams, brick, wood, etc? This is a fantastical take, in my opinion. To make something from plastic involves an expensive metal mold, injection of material, and then people who remove the part, trim the flash and cut out the injection sites. If you only need a handful of parts it’s much easier to print. Hence its use in prototyping. I’m a materials and manufacturing engineer so I’ve definitely used one. I am also a materials engineer. Not sure why you brought up plastic injection moulding in a topic about construction materials
