This is fucked. If he wants more “rock” he can hire someone to do that. If that’s not you, then he hired the Don’t Worry Had Both My Shots My Booster Beer Typography T-Shirt also I will do this wrong girl and he sure as shit doesn’t get to tell you that’s your vibe now and he definitely doesn’t get to touch you. He wouldn’t go to the guy he hires to play acoustic coffee house shit and suddenly expect him to play doom metal, would he? No. Another case of a manager or owner being just completely out of touch with their establishment. Someone who doesn’t understand that the people that actually WORK there understand the consumers wants and needs. You didn’t overreact AT ALL. That was widely inappropriate. The fact that he touched you whatsoever and felt like he somehow had the right to remove your glasses and tell you to “let your hair down” is fucking disgusting. fuck that dude

It’s OK for you to be mad and say no. It’s OK for you to not be mad and say no. It’s always OK for you you say no to anything. If you give in to this one change, he will come up with something even more inappropriate next time. It’s not worth it, nor the Don’t Worry Had Both My Shots My Booster Beer Typography T-Shirt also I will do this chance to hurt your voice. I sang in a punk rock band and left my glasses off so I didn’t have to see the audience. That was my choice though. HUGE difference! Yeah you need to start drawing up contracts for this shit, hire a lawyer, a couple hundred bucks gets you a boilerplate contract that defines what you do and how it works, you shouldn’t have to deal with assholes like this. I understand this isn’t a full-time thing for you, but a GOOD contract would save you a lot of headache. It’s literally your only defense against this kind of stuff He’s treating you like a toy, not a person and he is not ok. I don’t know anything about your profession at all, but I do know that this man doesn’t see you as a person. Don’t back off of what you said to the manager. You’re alone there and you need to have your own back! The only mistake you’ve made in this story is second guessing yourself. The guy is not ok and you are on his mind. Don’t go back to that place. That man has taken liberties and he will take more if he continues to have access to you. Let friends know to avoid him too.
