Going through the Don’t Mess With Texas Embroidered shirt But I will love this comments, I do want to also add that I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all to refuse her a ride in your car if she’s not wearing a seatbelt, or even to ride with her in her car as that can also constitute an unnecessary risk for you as a passenger. It’s a free country. People are allowed to make decisions that you don’t agree with, even if those decisions will harm them. You are basically saying you will only be friends with people who make choices that you agree with, which means you will have no friends. Continue to hold yourself to your standards. A true friend would listen to your concerns and do something about it rather than ignore it completely and effectively insult your friendship

I wouldn’t unfriend. But I wouldn’t be in the Don’t Mess With Texas Embroidered shirt But I will love this same car as them. Calmly lat her know that there are dangers involved in being in a car with someone not wearing a seat belt. Doesn’t have to end a friendship. And maybe that step will get them to see some sense on occasion. Remind her that it’s for her own safety as well as your own, and that by riding without a seatbelt, it would effect your own car insurance, should anything happen, and as the owner and driver of the vehicle, it is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your passengers. As someone who is alive because I was wearing the seatbelt in a near fatal accident – no, you’re not being unreasonable at all. But like others have suggested, just refuse to ride with her. If your country imposes fine on account of not wearing a seatbelt, that’s a solid reason to give her but you can also show her videos where she is a danger for others because of not wearing it. While you don’t have to unfriend her, I’d advise never drive them bc of this and my best hear on the trajectories of a launched human but while in their car do not sit anywhere besides behind their seat (otherwise they’re likely to fly at any of the other directions).
