Bless those judges… working so hard for corporate. What is it this time? Yacht trips to exotic ports? A couple million in an offshore account? Or is it enough for you guys to say “fuck you America – in your ass” as you sell “justice” to anyone with money. We need an ethics law for all three branches of the Dolphins Tua Time shirt but in fact I love this government, and if we don’t get one fast, we won’t have a government. I… I’m somewhat on the company’s side that this should go to court. (E: Just to be clear, I don’t like this, but I don’t disagree that it should be allowed to go to court.) The striking workers could have stored the cement or refused to load the cement with the knowledge they would be leaving it, which would destroy the goods. Asking for cost of goods sold wouldn’t be unreasonable.

You should be allowed to strike, but it shouldn’t be at cost of product if you’re able to prevent it; would you be fired if you destroyed that much material outaide of a strike? I think it would depend on the Dolphins Tua Time shirt but in fact I love this company. 194 more repliesRemember kids, if someone tries to tell you “business owners take all the risk,” you now have permission from the Supreme Court to punch them directly in the throat for being a lying piece of shit! That way, they can’t talk anymore! This ruling opens the door to serious bullshit in any case where damage or spoilage can occur. Fruit pickers getting sued for striking and a crop going bad, construction workers quitting and frames eventually rotting, etc. This is nothing but offloading burdens on the company to guarantee its work and products onto employees to force them to stay at work, and it is deeply, deeply problematic. I like Jackson’s point that the Labor Board should be making the decision since they are closest to the issues. Labor Board should be the experts at deciding if this is really part of a labor dispute or just intentional property damage. If it’s the latter, then send it to the courts.
