What do you mean by white? Because our culture is colonialism, war and Walmart. Go to almost every other country and drive in a car or a train for 10 hours and you will see culture. The only people here who are natively from here are the Native Americans. White culture is treated as the default in the US. So “white” culture is often treated as American culture. The interesting thing to note is that as something from non-white people becomes mainline American, white people stop considering it culture. Chinese food? That’s not culture, it’s not authentic. Jazz became American Culture instead of white culture and is often ignored when it’s part of music these days. Same with Rap. As White culture steals from other cultures it just becomes “American” while everything white people don’t do gets labelled as culture.
