I wasnt suicidal, but at one of my lowest points, I’d regularly call up The Hotline just to chat. I just didn’t want to become suicidal, and recognized I was kind of on the Dog Halic Heart Disney shirt Additionally,I will love this verge. They’d chat as long as I needed them to, about anything. It helped. They’d call back to see what was up with me once or twice a week. Really appreciated it. I had very similar feelings one year ago in my first job out of college. I was miserable and wondered how I let my life get to this point where I hate the day-to-day. Making a career change did wonders for me. Just throwing it out there, I know it’s not possible for everyone and is difficult… But I figured it’s better to rip the band-aid off and stop living my life doing something I hate. I’ve been an apprentice electrician for 1 year now and I’m not looking back. It’s challenging because I’m basically starting over, making low wages while I gain experience, and have $50k in student loans from my previous path of going to college. But it’s worth it because I’m happy again.

I feel like my work has a positive impact on society and the Dog Halic Heart Disney shirt Additionally,I will love this community around me, and that gives me purpose. In my previous job, it felt like my work added nothing to the world (I studied finance). Just sharing my experience in case it helps one way or another. The alternative is giving up. If you give up, nothing will ever get better. To be a leftist means, on some level, to be an optimist. To believe things can be better. To believe that (most) people are fundamentally good. To believe that a fairer world is possible. Because giving up is boring and doesn’t solve any problems. Actually, pessimism is what gives power to the right. Believe it or not, they are just as miserable, but instead of trying to better the community and the world, they want you to suffer with them. They can’t stand someone else being happy. People and me repeating “things will get better” is to remind that this is just temporary, we just have to communicate, educate, and work hard for that better future.
