She was disgusted by Gaston, repulsed by him physically and emotionally, knowing the things he would want from her. The Beast showed none of these same traits, and she knew, although locked up, she would most likely live a peaceful life in solitude behind bars and not used as an object. My husband and I talked about this once, and he said, “I know Gaston is terrible, but he would probably get her out of that little town like she wants.” To which I replied, “And someday she would murder Disney Beauty and The Beast shirt in his sleep. Men like Gaston are the reason women snap.”  Gaston would never leave. And risk not being hot shit in whatever town they move to? He LOVES how obsessed these people are with him.

She knew that even her dad would rather rot in a cell then have her do the things she’d have to do for Gaston. Raging man-beast who has a room of his dead servants. Opposed to what Disney Beauty and The Beast shirt could only presume to be a housewife that most likely had to slave throughout the house to make sure everything is perfect and who has to perform sexual acts to/with a man that she is repulsed by. On the other hand, maybe behind closed doors, Gaston is a softie and a very loving husband.

The man murdered most of his servants. The man took a woman hostage and emotionally abused her until she had Stockholm syndrome. To be fair to Belle, Gaston was trying to blackmail her into a marriage, and it’s likely that Maurice would have ended up in an asylum anyway since I can’t see Disney Beauty and The Beast shirt supporting Gaston and Belle’s marriage after all the drama. Although Beast was implementing a pretty screwed up justice system, he did give her an actual choice in the matter and was legitimately shocked at her decision.
