This! There should be some type of air bnb or something that people in neighboring states are willing to do for those in states where there are strict abortion laws. And it should be free of charge and judgement. I believe in my heart there are plenty of people who’d be willing to do this, myself included. Please don’t call those conservative assholes pro-life. They are so far from that, they don’t even know the Disco dolly parton retro vintage classic shirt but in fact I love this meaning of the word life. How bout anti choice? There are too many unexpected, unplanned pregnancies, for many reasons, to restrict this important choice. Where are these same monsters when it comes to child Healthcare, maternal/family leave? Or where is the support with housing, food, and and other necessities for women w/children who are struggling financially? Where is the child care, early childcare education needed to allow moms to work, and to provide optimal child development? Oh, that’s right, these idiots are off in the corner crowing about personal responsibility! We can hardly care for the people we have (US), let alone adding more poor souls to our population. The whole thing is a ploy to appeal to a small but vocal minority, for votes. Absolutely disgusting.

Something that really enrages me about these references to X number of weeks along is the Disco dolly parton retro vintage classic shirt but in fact I love this false impression that there is more time to find out you’re pregnant and to act than there really is. If you’re six weeks pregnant, how long have you been pregnant? Most people would say six weeks, right? No. Your weeks of pregnancy start to count from the first day of your last period. At that point, you hadn’t even had the sex that would result in pregnancy. You may not have had that sex for two or more weeks after that. I understand the scientific rationale behind calculating the duration of a pregnancy that way, but that method of calculation is now putting people’s lives at risk. Im sorry I know this is of no particular help to you OP. I live in a state where I still have rights (so far) and I am happy to help but I’m far from Texas and it sounds like there are many others in a better position to help you right now. I just wanted to express solidarity and say that you probably found out as earlier as it was possible to do so. You haven’t been pregnant for six weeks. Not that conservatives give a shit.
