When on a bunch of psychedelics the Dirty Kid Jdi Od Green Fde shirt moreover I love this advice I give people is that if you’re freaking out or feeling really bad, immediately go do something different. If life as you’re living it isn’t satisfying or enriching and living as you do is leaving you enormously dark and depressed then we’ve got to do something about that and change something, for starters. Attachments are the source of illusions and thus of suffering, maybe you’ll find a partner maybe not, that should not determine whether you can find joy or not. When we seek a partner, especially in suburbanized America, we are seeking the fulfillment of companionship, community, support, friendship, intimacy, sex, etc. but all from one singular person who has to be all things to us and nothing to anybody else. This is unrealistic, we need friends, acquaintances, confidants, we need bonds and connections of many kinds to make a full person and a full life, and without many sources of support and connection it can be hard to see life as anything but empty and dreary.

Go out to the Dirty Kid Jdi Od Green Fde shirt moreover I love this kind of place that has regulars, be that a pub, cafe, bookstore, tattoo shop, gym, martial arts studio, dance studio, jazz spot, whatever, where there are passably decent people that aren’t heavy on meth or painkiller use or gambling, hop into conversations when you’ve got something interesting to say, get recognized over time, built up connections and friendships and take them outside of these hangouts, help people move, ask people for help, become a part of community and a wellspring of it and a million joys, stories, loves, losses, hardships and beautiful experiences will cross your path and every day will feel fulfilling and worthwhile. That’s what saved me. I’d come from a long series of moderate but not too uncommon childhood traumas into college, my longtime girlfriend dumps me and leaves me alone in a city where I know nobody. My social anxiety got so bad I was literally unable to speak, years later had gone from having a full and loving family and being a happy father of a brilliant little girl ended up utterly alone and cutoff. Years later found love again and one morning woke up next to her passed away. And so on and so forth. But through going places regularly, mostly a neighborhood pub, meeting the locals, gradually making friends, gradually building relationships, I found the jobs that kept me going between career jobs, I found the shoulders to cry on through these tragedies, I found so many crazy experiences I can’t imagine having missed out on. When you’re connected to so many people in genuine and honest ways and have so much support and mutual thankfulness for other people those thoughts become pretty rare and sparse and even then they stop scaring you.
