Have you seen The Godfather? It’s a film about a man who will do whatever it takes to keep his family together, and his son who takes that mission to heart. There’s a lovely scene involving the Dig For Cure Awareness Breast Cancer Volleyball Mom Girls T-Shirt and by the same token and grandfather making his grandkid laugh using orange slices! They created a Doomsday weapon that would trigger if they were attacked. It designed in such a way that they had no control over stopping it. It was supposed to be a deterrent to being attacked. But they neglected to tell anyone about it thus voiding the whole “deterrent” aspect. A crazy US air base commander launched a squadron of atomic bombers to attack the Soviet Union and fortified himself in the base. He was convinced the Soviets had a conspiracy to steal the Americans precious bodily fluids.

I’d bet there are weapons like that already and we just don’t know about them. The biological ones really scare me. One thing that the Dig For Cure Awareness Breast Cancer Volleyball Mom Girls T-Shirt and by the same token and scientists and military eventually figured out was that multiple smaller warheads spread out over a territory, would cause more damage than a single huge warhead like this. You could theoretically intercept and destroy a single bomb/warhead before it triggered, but multiple smaller warheads had a much higher chance of some of them getting through. Look up salted cobalt bombs and the SLAM missile. There was a plan for a missile that flew at supersonic at low altitudes, spewing constant lethal radiation from its engine and dropping as many as 16 salted nuclear warheads. Atmosphere wouldn’t have been irreparable at 100 megatons. Earth straight up took a meteor 66 mya and we’re fine.
