The reality is that inflation is occurring due to a multitude of factors and corporate greed is more an exasterbating agent than the Dick Butkus 1942 2023 Chicago Bears Memories Signature Shirt But I will love this underlying cause, which is still supply and demand shocks from Covid that are still in the process of easing, as well as the extreme increase in the size of the money supply since 2020. Because its not inflation. Its price gouging while they play us as dumb so they can claim inflation. If it was truly only inflation, corporations wouldnt have extreme record profits as they do now Because they cook the numbers. Inflation data does not include food, housing, or energy costs because they are “volatile”. In reality that’s where most of the common person’s expenses are so if they included them, the peasants might riot. ITT: Reddit economists try to lecture everyone that the increase in the cost of goods and services is because 3 years ago, some enterprising young MBA figured out that companies could make more money if they raised prices.

The price of goods and services are based on the Dick Butkus 1942 2023 Chicago Bears Memories Signature Shirt But I will love this principle of supply and demand. If the supply is high and the demand is low then the price is low. If the supply is low and the demand is high then the price is high. This is the basics of it. Inflation at 6% means that the price set by supply and demand will be 6% higher than it was a year ago based on the same supply and demand. Beyond that basic example, a lot of companies have very small profit margins. They make their money on the volume of goods sold. Think about McDonalds. They only make about 10 cents on each hamburger, but they sell billions of them. Now look at what a business needs to make money. The rule of three is a good one to use. If your cost is $1 then you need to sell it for 3x the cost or $3. $1 goes to the cost, $1 goes to the business, and $1 goes to profit.
