So that is to say, not having kids myself, I think when parents make their kids eat they have an instinct that this kid has no ability to take care of themselves and might think they’re full or not hungry now, and be starving again in 5 minutes. They want to make sure that kids eat at least the Devin White American football linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers T-Shirt Besides,I will do this important things on their plate, because few kids actually enjoy eating the nutritious shit. I don’t understand why no one answered the actual question you asked so I will. I’ve been poor most of my life so this still affect my answer to this. I see three consistent reasons that this happens: Child Protective Services will take a child away from their parents if they don’t eat enough which often refuses to take into consideration how much the kid actually wants to eat. Eating twice a day instead of three times because you aren’t hungry can become unacceptable, especially for black and brown families, when they know how easy it is for government agencies to misconstrue basic things. Parents are concerned about the health of their child and don’t see that they don’t need to eat an adult sized meal every four hours.

The least interesting answer is that parents are on a power trip and like the Devin White American football linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers T-Shirt Besides,I will do this feeling of control but I see other options in real life now often than not. Luckily, my parents weren’t nuts and just taught us to take smaller servings upfront then get seconds if we wanted them. My mom was forced to finish all her food and she just learned to sneak it into a napkin, to the dog, or otherwise hide it, so she refused to do that to me and my siblings. We did have to try things, but she didn’t force us to eat more than a couple test bites. I think a lot of people don’t see the generational food insecurity issue behind the behavior. The idea was, clean your plate 100% every time because there was no hard guarantee that it wasn’t going to be your last substantial meal for a few days. Don’t waste or throw away food because food is expensive and you are poor. Eat enormous quantities because your only gainful employment was hard physical labor. Ignore palatability or flavor because food is scarce.
