With good reason , this movie had a lasting impact on me when I was younger . I used to pray to god before bed that me and my family members and friends would be safe from tornadoes while we slept. (I wasn’t even religious) I’ll never forget an episode of This American Life that I heard, where they were interviewing some kids whose prom was interrupted by tornado sirens, and then they took shelter in the Design anthem freelancer insignia anthem game distressed logo classic shirt and I love this school basement, and when they came out the building was gone. This teenage girl was weeping, and in between sobs she said “I was always curious to see a tornado, after all I’ve heard about them… but a couple of nights ago…. sob, sob, when I was doing my bedtime prayers, I asked God to let me see a tornado. It’s all my fault! I caused this!” :-O These days tornados are fucking up the midwest. Theres some insane footage i’ve seen on reddit. This one is nightmare fuel, specifically the ambience.

Me too! Wasn’t raised religious at all but after seeing this movie I would pray every night for no tornados. This was in north Texas so they were a pretty common occurrence. Yep, this movie made me scared of tornadoes. Terrified me. Still scared of them even though I live in an area where they basically never happen. Heh, I remember one time we had a really bad thunderstorm, shortly after that movie came out. The power went out, and mom and I were playing a board game while listening to a battery powered radio. All of a sudden a tornado warning came on. I remember freaking the Design anthem freelancer insignia anthem game distressed logo classic shirt and I love this hell out so badly I ended up throwing up everywhere. I was screaming at her WE HAVE TO GET TO THE BASEMENT. My family had just moved to the Midwest when this movie came out. Kid me was terrified of tornadoes for a LONG time.
