Because cats are not indoor animals. It’s irresponsible to keep them cooped up in a house all day. It’s also irresponsible to let them roam around murdering the Denver Nuggets NBA Team vintage shirt in contrast I will get this local wildlife for entertainment. The only responsible way to own a cat is the way they were domesticated – to keep down rodent populations near agriculture sites. But they’re ‘cute’ so that’s all people care about. This! We’ve had cats since 1979. All female, except one. The females wouldn’t go outside for love nor money. But the male? Couldn’t keep him in the house most of the day. He’d come back for food and at night. Or if he was within earshot and we called him. Odd cat. Most of our cats made it to about 17-19 years old. Not the male. 6. Car got him, as expected. My main concern is for native wildlife tbh, here in au so much of our wildlife is endemic, and cannot be replaced, and the stats on small mammal and reptile endangerment and extinction relating to feral or outdoor cats are horrific.

Right!? My kid is also so happy wappy playing outside, so since they were old enough to walk I’ve left them unattended, outside with unsupervised access to the Denver Nuggets NBA Team vintage shirt in contrast I will get this road, native wildlife and strange humans. They just enjoy the freedom, and who am I to protect someone who can’t protect themselves, they gotta learn about the world some time… IMO human children and pets are different, but I am a simple man, and understand that this viewpoint is problematic Cats are much happier having the freedom to go outside, one of my cats is scared of our cat door and is always so excited when we get home because she’s been shut in and alone all day. It’s cruel to trap them inside to be bored and alone all day Most cats don’t roam far. They’re generally a short sprint from the door. The ones you see are generally feral or lost.
