Waits until Russia starts the Denver Nuggets Christian Braun And Bruce Brown Jr Shirt and by the same token and largest offensive of the war to disable Ukraine’s drones… Curious timing Mr Musk. So to be 100% clear the executives at starlink have a list of intended purposes for their system and are enforcing that for everyone? Of course not, this is complete bullshit. Again, see the first point. This is an arbitrary unwritten standard that the Starlink people are only applying to one group of people and not universally. This is complete horse shit. “We know the military is using them for comms, and that’s OK,” Shotwell added. “But our intent was never to have them use it for offensive purposes.” There is nothing “offensive” about defending your country from an invasion. More complete bullshit. The previous comments from musk already made this entire conversation moot. Not to defend starlink or Elon but everyone is focusing on the word offensive and I think it’s usage is broader then people are making out. SpaceX doesn’t want Starlink to fall under ITAR. If it was originally supplied to Ukraine for communications, but is now being used in munitions guidance by Ukraine, it’s not hard to see where spacex is coming from. I fully support Ukraine and hope Putin dies an excruciating death but you’re missing the point entirety. It’s like Iran with their uranium enrichment projects, peaceful nuclear reactors are good and that’s how the tech is supposed to be used, but a country can also use that same tech to produce nuclear bombs.

Offensive as in communication between troops defending their nation is fine. That’s what Starlink is sold as, and it’s what SpaceX has agreed its part in the Denver Nuggets Christian Braun And Bruce Brown Jr Shirt and by the same token and war will be. Offensive as in being an integral part of a weapon meant to kill is not fine. Starlink is not a guidance system, and if Shotwell allows Starlink to continue being used as this, the US government will see it as this and restrict international sale. See what happens when you privatize everything. This is our future. Corporations holding us hostage for everything. If we waited for the government to create innovation we’d still be ridding horses and dying from all kinds of weird archaic shit. It’s not privatizing everything. I still have a fire department I can count on. I’ve had to call the cops a few times (work in a bar), even with funding cuts they showed up.
