hello! I’m wearing this dress to my brothers wedding (I will be in the Def Leppard 47 years 1976-2023 thank you for the memories signatures shirt Besides,I will do this groomsmen + grooms family photos). its very boho and I’m styling it with a flower crown in my hair and leaning into the bohemian style. its at the end of this month, outdoors & at night so could possibly get pretty cold. I need recommendations for an outer layer for warmth – cape, shawl, scarf, kimono, etc… loose and flowy laying over the shoulders type thing. I’m thinking cream or cream-adjacent color is best. a sage colored purse – to pop with the leaves in the flower crown and sage mani/pedi. I think its the perfect accent color to the rest of the outfit I second the tip of running that dress past the bride, if there is one. It’s very bridal-adjacent. Throw in a cream-colored wrap & a flower crown & we’re getting into some serious potential upstaging territory. There could also be stepped-on toes if your floral crown overly matches or clashes with the flowers being used in the ceremony. You don’t mention dress code, but I’d consider a dress with a shorter length &/or a brighter color & generally steering clear of any white-adjacent shades, pastels, or flowers unless the bride explicitly gives the thumbs up. Also maybe no tulle. I know this kind of steps all over your plans, but people freak out about their weddings very easily. My best friend cried & made me change because I wore jeans to her dress code “punk casual” wedding.

I wouldnt go for a cream outer layer if you are part of the Def Leppard 47 years 1976-2023 thank you for the memories signatures shirt Besides,I will do this wedding party, i would pick a deeper color (a not-so dusty sage, even). yeah I guess its worth asking her. I didnt think anyone would care about that, its just a scarf and its not even white. plus its outside, at night… but I guess you never know. Yeah, people (especially moms and grandmas) get very touchy very quickly. Even people who you wouldn’t expect – traditions run deep sometimes! Coordinating colors is a general “good practice” for wedding parties/family members anyway, so getting a thumbs up from the bride wouldn’t be weird. If you know the other colors being used (bridal party dresses, ties, the invitations, etc), that would be a good starting point.
