What the Deebo’s Bike Rentals What Bike Retro T-Shirt In addition,I will do this original post is getting at isn’t just “haha, atheists dumb” it’s that they really only see religion through one lense, trying to dumb it down into one thing to bash. I’ve seen many, many, classic Reddit atheists bash religion with things like “oh ya, Christian’s say they’re good, but their book has genocide!” as if that’s not one of our major places of study and questioning which we already know of. Or take the “blood sacrifices.” If you actually look into tradition and scripture you’ll see it’s way more complex than just something like that. Once again, tons of debate, tradition, and years of writing surrounds so many of these topics. Believe it or not, not all Christian’s are irrational science hating right wing country bumpkins. In order to really understanding scripture and God you have to be rational and intelligent. I’d love to give more specific stuff if you’re interested.

I see where you are going, but at the Deebo’s Bike Rentals What Bike Retro T-Shirt In addition,I will do this core, the main problem stays the same. The dogmatic “insert name of your holy book” is the infallible word of god assertion is indefensible and with that, the whole structure crumbles. If you admit, that your bible is written by people who didnt know better, because they’re just a product of their time, you end up with not much left. Every religous dogma is rooted in circular reasoning – religious ‘philosophers’ always start with the conclusion and work their way down to explain it. This is not how it works. If it did work like this, then every ancient culture would have come up with the same religion, which is obviously not the case. I’ve taken enough theology courses and spent enough years in church to know that trying to challenge peoples’ deeply held convictions is pointless. It usually just devolves into a shouting match. I don’t believe in any gods or goddesses, but hey, y’all do you. As long as it isn’t being used to justify the persecution or marginalization of others.
