Obligate carnivores have to kill to survive because nature is indifferent to cruelty and suffering. At many farms, these cattle are selected for specific traits whether it is marbling and fat content, feed efficiency, etc. And livelihood and quality depend on it. Branding is cruel, but killing an animal to use for furniture is completely normal. The hoops people jump through sometimes, I swear.
