Why do I always see people on the Daniel Camarena Slamarena shirt in contrast I will get this internet criticizing child free women but barely ever child free men? (Though irl old people criticize EVERYONE who’s above 30 and child free) Many of us live based on a fear of what will happen when were old. If we take the fun career path and end up poor when we’re old. Or ending up alone when we’re old. Planning ahead has value but It’s a huge mistake to live your life based too heavily on how you will be set up at 70, 80 or older. Most people that old who are miserable feel that way because they didn’t do what they wanted with their life when they were 20-50. You don’t want to throw caution to the wind, but we’re all bound for destruction eventually anyway. Risking being poor or alone in old age is worth it to be happy. Yeah, why I only hear the childless 30-40 year olds that are so stocked about not having kids on the Internet but then I put my phone away and all those people in that age that I know that don’t have families are living a sad life.

Because they the Daniel Camarena Slamarena shirt in contrast I will get this one living a great life don’t live by you. They are in the islands or Aspen deciding what steakhouse would be better for dinner. You’re completely right. You’re taught to pursue individualism. But family is the only thing that actually counts. Family is what you make of it, a family doesn’t need to involve having children. Live your life dude, the only thing that actually counts is whatever you get happiness and joy from. If that’s your biological family then more power to you but not everyone is you. I agree, but the reality is if you’re old only your biological children will give a damn enough to look after you. It’s a cultural understanding in the global South, but the West has really warped family stuff, so in Western culture it’s about being an individual and fuck that responsibility
