Not a walmart employee but my company policy for hourly employees is if they’re put into a higher paid spot to cover that shift, employee receives that higher pay. Example being if $20/hr employee has the D’Andre Swift the Philadelphia Eagles shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this training to properly cover a $25/hr position while they’re out on vacation, employee receives the $25/hr for the day. That’s fair and walmart should follow I hate to say it, but at our store we’re lucky if we get our paychecks. The gentleman in dairy that works on thirds. He went almost 3 pay periods without a paycheck they were arguing. His direct deposit was messed up on his end. Come to find out the woman in HR was putting a zero in front of his number so it was actually her fault. I couldn’t believe he actually just kept coming in to work lol and if you’re not careful, they’re always shorting you on hours . In fact, my last paycheck was shorted by 5 now it’ll probably take me a month to get it

Walmart’s payroll is already supershit, imaging the D’Andre Swift the Philadelphia Eagles shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this fallout from managers adjusting pay by hour is nightmare inducing. There’s a lot of things that are fair that Walmart should follow but good luck ever getting that too happen without unionization. They will never do what’s good for the employee without force. The truth of it, whether people want to accept it or not Walmart requires unionization at this point. Corporate has been peeling away every single benefit from its sales staff, it’s a lesser of two evils situation. Well, considering I tried to say no once and they said, too bad OG if he needs help, they’re more important I’d be willing tobet it’ll be insubordination They tried pulling me for ogp 2x. Both times I did so bad that I lowered their score and they stopped pulling me after that. If I had sent already worked in the department the last time I worked here(had one of the highest pick rates) I would but there’s a certain standard unfortunately. But I definitely do not meet department standards You have to do good enough that they can’t tell you’re intentionally bad, but bad enough that you’d be their last choice. I still got chewed out but I kept reminding them that I had no clue what I was doing, I wasn’t trained for it, and that I got thrown in with no real explanations on how any of it worked. I also threw in “and when I tried asking for more info they kept telling me they didn’t have time to teach me, it’s easy and I should just figure it out as I go”. They couldn’t argue with me much because they all knew I wasn’t wrong even if they didn’t want to admit I was right
