Cell phones are also not that expensive. A homeless person can save money for a cell phone. Maybe it takes them 6 months to save enough for a phone. That’s fine. A smart phone is $300-$1000. That’s a one time expenditure. What is the Damon Severson Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Columbus Blue Jackets T-Shirt in other words I will buy this cost of rent? A security deposit? Maybe they can find a place with only $500 security deposit. But it took them more than a month to save that money. So they’d be hard-pressed to afford another month. I feel like y’all have never even considered what you’d do if you had nothing but a cell phone in your pocket and the shirt on your back. I think about it everyday but I suppose that’s from a lifetime of money and food insecurity. it’s pretty necessary to have a cell phone for a homeless person and it would be doing them a disservice to assume they’re scammers for having one. there are all sorts of things we don’t think about. near me there are just too many hills to get around easily so they use the phones to rent lime e-bikes. Homeless people usually have phones. They may be burners or cheap Chinese smartphones, but it’s more common for them to have than not.

Obama phones are still a thing I believe, so even the Damon Severson Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Columbus Blue Jackets T-Shirt in other words I will buy this homeless can get a phone. You need a phone to do basically anything in this day and age. Apply for help/loans/aid, try to find a job, get approved for an apartment, get a bank account – need a phone for anything, so it makes sense for homeless to try and get one as well if they can. Those Obama phones and plans are as cheap as it gets and I THINK it can be entirely free if you qualify fully. Not an expert though. An top end iPhone costs 1200 roughly. 12 months of rent costs 24,000 roughly. It’s not crazy to own an iPhone but not be able to afford rent. You can get government assistance for a cell phone because they’re practically a requirement for functioning in the modern day. I had a “homeless” person pop out his Square credit card reader and pop it in his iPhone so he could charge a card. No thanks.
