It helps that, in addition to the Damn right i am an Uconn fan win or lose march madness shirt But I will love this world being on fire and not wanting to bring a child into that, I don’t actually like kids. BUT having said that, asking the question of regret is a pointless exercise. The people who decided to have kids, do not get to relive how it is to live without kids into their 70s. Likewise the other way, people who decided to not have kids have zero experience of living as a parent. It is not something that can be objectively compared by looking at different people’s regrets and reflections. Having a kid can make a lazy irresponsible dropkick become a hardworking parent overnight. it can also make them even more of a mess. It could also make a happy, energetic person become a depressed suicidal asshole overnight. The decision to have kids or not is so very important yet there is really no telling what it will mean to your life and how you will react to it.

as somebody who didn’t meet the Damn right i am an Uconn fan win or lose march madness shirt But I will love this right person till our forties I will point out that getting pregnant at this age is hard, and keeping up with a child is also hard. 31 and 33 both sterilized – so far we are really happy with our decision and don’t really see how parenting could ever make us want to do it in the future so we are not worried. Mostly we just don’t want to take care of kids – it has nothing to do with cost of living because we could afford it but choose not to. Why would you regret anything in your 30s? It’s a good time to start having a family. 40s might be borderline too old, but you wouldn’t be the first person to do it. I’m 49, hubby is 54. We don’t have kids and regret nothing! We thought we wanted kids when we first met, but then we were much happier, less stressed and had more freedom than the people we knew with kids and we just leaned into it. I have nieces and I enjoy them, but I’m happy to leave and never have any sadness when I look at my sisters’ lives with their kids. For us it was absolutely the right choice and our lives are very peaceful, fulfilling, fun and not nearly as stressful. Never mind the financial strain of having children… No regrets. Mid-forties. Kept waiting to get baby fever, or even just to be sure I was ready. That feeling never came. So it wasn’t a decision, really. I know I have that instinct in me, because I love the children in my family so much and I’m crazy about my dogs. But I genuinely don’t feel like anything is missing. I have a partner and we have so many adventures. And I’ve been able to build a career I love. It’s a creative job, and I don’t know if I’d be doing it if I had to support a family. Sometimes I wonder if I’ll regret it if/when I need care when I’m old, but that doesn’t seem like a good enough reason to radically alter this part of my life. And it’s also kind of selfish and weird as a reason.
