My wife has to poop at 10am every day, but 10am is when I need to get ready for work. I’d rather deal with that than Taylor swift drama. You shouldn’t have married anyone that thinks Taylor Swift has any decent music but since you did you need to work through this and both of you need to grow up and listen to better music. However your wife’s insistence that you must like what she does is also petty and unhealthy. The two of you need counselling/couples therapy to help you understand each other better and work on these (and possibly other) issues in your relationship – then at least you’ll have both tried to make it work. If, after that, one or both of you are still unhappy in your relationship and the two of you can’t resolve it, then that would be a fair reason to divorce. I hope you can both work things out though. OP, it sounds like the problem is that she can be more emotional and open when listening to TS’s music than when she’s having moments that you quite naturally want to be romantic and profound and emotional. I think a problem is that those really moving and profound emotions aren’t things she has the maturity or skills to own and handle herself. It seems like she thinks TS’s music is a magical instrument that pulls them out if her, and maybe like you feel that they are gifts she’s giving to TS and not you, her husband.
