Hypocrisy is a sacred and ancient Christian tradition. Trump is the Damn right I am a Alabama Crimson Tide fan now and forever shirt Apart from…,I will love this biggest hypocrite, therefore he is the most Christian. In case anyone doesn’t know, it’s a dystopian novel about how man made climate change, extreme wealth inequality, and racism destroyed our current world, then, as people are struggling to survive and form self sufficient communities, Jarret comes along as a presidential candidate, his whole campaign based on “Make America Great Again”, he wins the election, declares the US a Christian nationalist country, a cult develops around him of exteme christofascists that are ruthless and cruel but also really dumb. The start of the first book is also set in 2024. Seems pretty on the nose so far, except it was written in the fucking 90s and apparently we as a society learned nothing from it while the rich used it as a step by step guide. I’d rather be literally fucking dead if America becomes a Christian nationalist country. For fucks sake what the actual fuck is wrong with Christians trying to force their fucking beliefs on everyone else? Their gonna ban abortion then their going to ban conterseptive pills [already fucking happening in texas and Alabama] .

America WILL NOT BE FREE if it becomes a Christian nation. It will absolutely ruin America. More book bans, terrible education, lack of sexual education, there will be more crime, more poverty, more homelessness, everything will be fucked up [as if it’s not already heading that way by the Damn right I am a Alabama Crimson Tide fan now and forever shirt Apart from…,I will love this looks of this next Presidential election]. If America becomes a Christofascism , are they gonna start jailing those who have different belief or lack of beliefs? I mean for fucks sake seriously where tf are the brains of these people voting. Get yalls heads out of the damn bible and open your damn eyes. [I do not mean to offend anyone, or go against mod rules, so if I said anything that violates rules I sincerely apologize and my comment can be removed] I love Kensington Market the way it is. Not ready for it to turn into Little America yet. Bloody Gilead refugees!

They’re really more and more blatant with their agenda . The Nationalist Christians , also known as the Damn right I am a Alabama Crimson Tide fan now and forever shirt Apart from…,I will love this NatCs ( rhymes with Nazis). Y’all understand they do not need to win? They suffered no consequences in prior sedition attempts so what’s one more? This is bound to be the most important election in recent history. This will determine whether our democracy survives or we fall to fascism. The last half dozen years have been like watching a horror movie in which the characters are constantly walking into dark basements, tool sheds and every creepy place imaginable. At some point it’s gotta be time to throw in the towel. Let them have what they think they want. It’ll be fun when all the dust settles and it slowly dawns on them what the hell they’re done. Sure, it’ll take decades, perhaps generations to clean up the mess. But I’ll be long gone by then. I leave no progeny and I have no legacy. To be frank, I’ve realized that I just don’t care anymore. America has been circling the drain for some time now. The populace has been getting steadily dumber by the minute. I’ve decided that all of this is inevitable; the logical conclusion to the dumbifying of America. The only thing left is to grab a bag of popcorn and watch the show.

Even if we manage to save this country, I’m still disturbed by the Damn right I am a Alabama Crimson Tide fan now and forever shirt Apart from…,I will love this fact that there are people who would vote for this. As a Christian, this is terrifying. Christianity has never been about wielding political power. In fact, in many ways wielding political power in this way is antithetical to the essence of Christianity as a religion Maybe you should go back and have this conversation with every major leader of the church for the last millenia. I understand this sentiment, but firstly the last millennia is only the last half of the life of the Christian church. But more than that, my main point with my comment is that for the entire life of Christianity, it has had a dual essence — a religious movement and a political movement. Even from the beginning of the church, people who were consumed by naked political ambition were attempting to hijack the church’s momentum to further their own autocratic/power hungry means. That’s just a feature that mainline religions allow for as they interact with the depravity of human nature’s blind lust for power.

Description for Damn right I am a Alabama Crimson Tide fan now and forever shirt

Dominionist Evangelical Christianity has always been about seizing political power, they just haven’t been very good at it until now This is very clearly not true for many reasons. Evangelical Christianity in its current form has shifted from a mainly religious designation to a mainly political one, and we can actually trace the Damn right I am a Alabama Crimson Tide fan now and forever shirt Apart from…,I will love this fundamentalist wing of the church making the decision “hey we need to get more political power” in about the 1920s and onward and see all of the ways that they compromised on Christian morals in order to achieve those ends over the last 100 years. Secondly, the last 100 years while it’s characterized by evangelical political power and influence, marks an extremely small percentage of the whole life of Christianity. And the nakedly political people who have co-opted the religion of Christianity are a relative minority across history but are even so ever-present (I mentioned this in more depth in a different comment on this thread).
“See those bad Christians doing awful stuff, well they aren’t really Christians. I know they say they are Christians and they distort Christian teaching to justify their actions but they aren’t Christians” Interesting. I never said that they weren’t Christians. Just that they are nakedly political and that they are a minority of Christianity by a long shot. Both of which are unavoidable facts. But, straw man will straw man I suppose.
There wasn’t as many international schools so English centres were a good way to not only learn English but learn more about western culture and help people study abroad. A number of things happened, many of the Damn right I am a Alabama Crimson Tide fan now and forever shirt Apart from…,I will love this centres got bought out by investment firms or local ownership. Profits started to get maximised over improving educational quakity, salaries never changed and a lot of teachers left to go elsewhere, get certified as a full teacher and join international schools. Instead of investing more in resources and teachers they cut entry requirements for teachers. Over the years I did it, when I started everyone was very qualified, multiple years of experience and investment in training, lots of resources etc. By the end of it, kids were sharing one marker between five kids, all the materials were broken or not replenished and the number of teachers with lower qualifications or even poor English had gone up. The parents are often sold on this idea of a native speaker, look at all the ads, it’s some handsome white guy or girl dressed in a suit. The parents pay a lottttt of money and then they end up with a teacher from africa, india or poland or even some British dude with a sweat stained hawaiian shirt and his arse hanging out his pants. They rightly feel upset, not because they’re racist but because they were sold a lie.
