This has to be a reason he was getting away with it for so long. His murders were just part of a large number of murders happening. Bro what? It should be like this: He gets 1,853 years and 9 days, then gets it reduced to 1,835 years and 9 days, but he can only get 40, so he gets 40. It’s more important that he NEVER gets out of prison than finding the DAMIAN PRIEST American professional wrestler T-Shirt it is in the first place but bodies of the people he murdered. Its not even close. Cooperate for what exactly? Isn’t he a serial killer, the victims are dead and gone, or am I missing something? Helping police close case files on missing people, and telling family members where the bodies are so they can be recovers and given a proper burial. Not saying it was or was not worth it here, just pointing out what a convicted serial killer can do that is “cooperating”. Having the bodies of the victims returned to their families so they can lay them to rest could really help give a sense of closure to the families. Don’t get too excited. From the article: “Pirry also described Garavito’s conditions in prison and commented that due to good behaviour, he could have probably applied for early release within three years.”

I kinda doubt he would get out for any amount of good behavior. They’d find any excuse not to lower the DAMIAN PRIEST American professional wrestler T-Shirt it is in the first place but sentence for someone like that. His article states that they raised the maximum sentence to 60 years, implying he would have been released earlier. I’m no expert on Colombian law, this is from the article: “Many Colombians criticized the possibility of Garavito’s early release. In recent years, Colombians have increasingly felt that Garavito’s sentence was not sufficient punishment for his crimes. Some argued he deserved either life in prison or the death penalty, neither of which exists in Colombia. Colombian law had no provision or method to impose a sentence longer than what Garavito received, which was seen as a deficiency in the law caused by the failure to address the possibility of a serial killer in Colombian society. The law has since increased the maximum penalty for such crimes to 60 years in prison.”
