Both the Dalvin Cook #33 First Down American football running back T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this speed of light and the unperturbed ground-state hyperfine transition frequency of cesium 133 will never change, thus the meter is accurately defined by both the speed of light and… that frequency The speed of light in a vacuum is fixed so once you do that measurement of how long it takes to go a meter, you can reliably re-create the meter. Just us, Liberia and Burma. Funny though, you never think of those other 2 when you think of countries that have their shit together….. Imperial system is better because it includes nautical miles(2025 yards) which is equal to a minute of latitude. This is extremely important for navigating ships and planes etc. Funny how imperial measurements have been redefined in terms of metric, yet some folks still puff their chest and think that imperial is superior somehow. Literally all of americas infrastructure was made in imperial units ever since its founding. At this point, it could be potentially dangerous and confusing to change everything to metric just to ease European’s superiority complex about units. It’s literally easier to just keep using the well established imperial units here than switch to metric and have weird decimals for everything. I’ll never understand why American’s seem to always default to referring to the rest of the world as Europeans. You know that there are other continents too right? And that they’re also all using Metric? How would it be more exact? You can always have smaller tolerances by decreasing, well, the tolerance. Works equally well with both systems in this case.
