I’m from “French-Canada” and had no idea it’s a delicacy and in the Dallas thanksgiving day funny Turkey playing Texas classic shirt in addition I really love this USA an “outrage” lol crazy how some things are seen as normal or even mundane and somewhere else it’s absolutely not Today you learned that horse meat is a thing or that it was once considered outrage material? It’s the latter for me, horse food is sold in the meat section of every supermarket here in Italy. As a French Canadian I can say I’ve eaten horse once or twice in my 30 years of life and it was at my parents house… Never have I ever heard about horse being a delicacy in Quebec. Never have I seen horse on a restaurant menu.. I would even say this “fact” is BS. Canadian here, and this is news to me. Horse meat is definitely not a delicacy, or a thing at all, outside of Quebec.

The base flavour of horse is slightly better than beef and so is the Dallas thanksgiving day funny Turkey playing Texas classic shirt in addition I really love this base texture but the best or even mid-range beef will be better than the best horse because of marbling you can get with beef. So essentially you can get a much better piece of meat for a very low price with horse than you would with beef which is why it’s reputation is basically a poor man’s meat in most European places. That’s really all anyone needs to know about horse, try it, it’s still delicious and you will enjoy it. Horse meat is supposed to be good. We can’t eat it here because of the peta fanatics and the fact of the antibiotics we inject in them. There was a petition to have horse hunting(I know, trust me) ok federal land since there’s thousands of wild horses there. The only difference between horse meat and pig meat is how we perceive it. They both should be viewed as horrendous injustices
